Independent mortgage solutions is an independent mortgage and protection brokerage, established on the High Street in the lovely market town of Thame in 2004. We are not owned by any lenders, estate agents or other third parties which means that we only ever act in the best interests of our clients. We look to establish long-term relationships with our clients, many of whom have made the journey with us since the very beginning and we are passionate about providing the highest levels of service. Our clients benefit from full advice and recommendation and are guided by us for every step of the way. All of our mortgage advisers are CeMAP qualified.
Meet the team

Ivona Lord established Independent Mortgage Solutions in 2004. Having worked in banking and mortgage broking for many years, Ivona was keen to be able to provide an independent and unbiased service with advice tailored to her clients’ individual circumstances.
“Everyone deserves the right to great advice and we are incredibly proud of the service which our friendly and knowledgeable team provide. The majority of our business comes from referrals from satisfied clients, which speaks volumes.”
Sarah Lister joined Independent Mortgage Solutions in 2006. Originally from an estate agency background, Sarah has an in-depth knowledge of the housing market and is an expert at guiding clients through the entire homebuying process.
“Quite often we see people who have been turned down or been told that they cannot borrow what they need by their own banks. They come here expecting us to say the same and are often pleasantly surprised when they find out that we can help them.”

Eilish Crowther has been a mortgage broker for over 4 years with a wealth of experience and knowledge to bring to the team. She enjoys helping clients understand the advice given to them for their mortgage and protection needs. In her spare time, she can be found in the kitchen baking lots of tasty treats.
“I think its really important for everyone to understand what’s available to them and not to get overwhelmed with lots of jargon, having an open space to not be afraid to ask questions and been guided through the house buying journey confidently.”
